Romance

If you missed JW-DigiScraps give away of Romance in her newsletter and her Facebook fan page, you can now get it for half price at Divine Digital and her new store at Enchanted Studio Scraps. Yes, Janice has opened a new store and everything is 50% off through March 7th!

Here's a layout I did with this gorgeous kit! I love all the swirls! I don't get to work with girly kits too often with a house full of boys so I took a picture of the Valentine's Day flowers my son bought for me (with Daddy's help of course :) ) and used those for a special layout about how proud he was to have been able to buy them for me. Didn't he do a wonderful job!? He told me, "These are beautiful flowers for you."

First Fantasy Layout and Another Layout from A Little One's Love

Well, I tackled my first "fantasy" layout today. I had a couple pictures of my son dressed up with his cowboy stuff, but felt he was out of place in our kitchen where the pictures were taken. I extracted him from the photos and placed him in a more appropriate scene. I put the other picture inside a wanted poster falling to the ground. I'd love to know what you think- good or bad. I can handle it lol.

I also made another layout using A Little One's Love by JW-DigiScraps. I wanted to scrap the rest of the photos I took for Valentines Day and this is just the perfect kit. I just love all of the different smiles I was able to capture in this shoot!

Here is another preview of the kit which is still available at both Divine Digital and Stuff to Scrap.

Rylan's Blanket

Tonight I have a layout of my son Rylan and his blanket. I'm not sure I like the picture I used for this layout, but I do want a page of his special blanket in his baby book. So if I get a better picture down the road, I'll probably switch it out. The beauty of digi-scrapping is the fact that things can be changed out rather quickly!

Everyday Moments

I wanted to show you another one of Janice's kits tonight. This versitile color pallete is a great for scrapping all of those everyday pictures and even those special vintage and heritage photos. I used the coordinating cardstock pack for this kit to give some pops of solid color as well.

Here's a layout I did with our first informal family picture after our son Rylan was born. I love the pop of red with these colors.

Here's another layout I did for my heritage album. I love how well this same kit works for scrapping these older photos too.

You can pick up JW-DigiScraps kit Everyday Moments as well as the matching cardstock at her Divine Digital Boutique.

The Not So Speedy Speed Scrap Layout

I have anoher layout to show you tonight. As the title of this post states, my speed scrap layout at Stuff to Scrap wasn't so speedy. I had a bit too much going on last night to actually finish my layout on time. I didn't actually get it posted until this afternoon lol. Nonetheless, here it is.

Layouts to Share

I have more layouts to share with you tonight. It's winter break around here this week so I have a bit of extra time to work things like scrapbooking! First, I finished a 3 page layout from one of this past summer's hiking and fishing adventures. I experimented with combining text and pictures on this set. I love the gecko I was able to cut out of one of my photos and attach to the layout separately on the third page.

This next layout is just some random pictures of my son and his friend. I love the colors on this layout. I used a grunge brush for the first time on the blue circle to give it a little more pizazz.

Valentine's Day

My Valentine's Day plans were a bit foiled today, but in the end they turned out alright. Everyone in my house woke up sick today and the baby had a fever. There went our fancy dinner and babysitter. Although things didn't turn out quite like I had expected, we did spent a lovely day together as a family. My husband brought Brayden to the flower shop yesterday to pick out a bouquet, so I had a couple cards and flowers this morning. Scott already got his cards earlier. The kids got a package of goodies from Grandma and Grandpa Groenke in the mail yesterday that they opened that today as well. I also had time to complete a couple scrapbooking layouts. Here's one from last March when we took Brayden to Kidz Plex. I completed this for the word of the week challenge at Stuff to Scrap.

A Little One's Love

Today is the day! JW-DigiScraps has released her new kit A Little One's Love. There are 18 papers and 36 amazing elements. The little animals made from hearts are just adorable! I've already made two layouts with this kit and have more in the works. This is a great Valentine's kit for those of you with boys. It would be great for girls too, but I'm always on the look out for those harder to find kits that can be used with my family of boys. Here's the full preview of Janice's kit. You can pick it up for only $2 until next Saturday at either Divine Digital or Stuff to Scrap. The image is linked to to her Divine Digital boutique.

Here's my first layout to show you. Did I already say how much I love the paper pieced animals? I just had to scrap some pictures of my littlest guy with this outfit. It was just too perfect for this kit! I'm going to work on another page to match this one with the other pictures I took on the same day.

Here's my second layout. My oldest son Brayden really had a great time making Valentine's this year. We made some different paper pieced animals with messages on them for him to give to special people. I could hardly believe how well Janice's kit matched the plans I already had in place! I had planned on making frogs with him and possibly the dogs, but when he asked for a duck for his great aunt and uncle and a tiger for his friend Cannon I really had to think on my feet lol! I took a picture of each one of his creations, cut them out in my image editing software, and used them as added elements to the bottom of my journaling block.

Head over to JW-DigiScraps to take a look at the rest of the CT's inspiration and some detailed pictures of A Little One's Love as well.

First Post- First CT Position

I'm really excited to be starting my first blog! I have been given an opportunity to work with Janice at JW-DigiScaps as a CT member and will be sharing information about her kits, sales, etc here as well as this being a place where I can share my scrapbooking layouts I've created to document my family's stories. Janice is an excellent designer so I can hardly wait to get my hands on some of her handiwork! I'm starting out slow so as to not overwhelm myself so bear with me. I'm still learning.
